Pacifica residents have a strong history of civic engagement within and beyond the city and of volunteering with community organizations.

Many community groups welcome older adult volunteers, below are examples of civic participation strengths that exist in our community.

The Pacific Beach Coalition is dedicated to preserving the ocean, coastal habitat, and wildlife, and ending litter through advocacy, education, community building, and citizen action.

Rotary Club of Pacifica

Rotary Club of Pacifica are professionals who enjoy working together to make a difference in our community.

Pacificans Care

Pacificans Care is a totally volunteer, community-based non-profit organization created to support core social service organizations in Pacifica.

Art Guild of Pacifica

The Art Guild of Pacifica mission is to increase the awareness and appreciation of artists and their works.

Pacifica Fog Fest

Created in 1986 to promote Pacifica and its wonderful coastal environment, the Pacific Coast Fog Festival has become a longstanding coastside tradition taking place during the last weekend in September.

Pacifica Seniors in Action Program

City of Pacifica- Parks, Beaches, and Recreation, Senior Services is committed to providing services and programs for older adults including those with disabilities that maintain and enhance the quality of their lives, reduce isolation, and promote socialization.

Pacifica Resource Center

Pacifica Resource Center’s mission is to support the resilience and well-being of families and individuals in Pacifica and along the coast.

In addition to volunteer opportunites, PRC can assist residents of all ages with referrals to programs that can help them find employment.

Peninsula Family Service

Peninsula Family Service strengthens our community by providing children, families, and older adults the support and tools to realize their full potential and lead healthy, stable lives.
